ABOUT
Not all beef jerky is worth eating
Punk Jerky started in my mum's kitchen in Dorset with a simple thought: why does most beef jerky just not hit the spot?
Too much of it felt like it existed for convenience. Long shelf life. Bland flavour. Something to chew, not something to enjoy.
So I bought a joint of beef, took it home, and started experimenting.
The first batch wasn’t perfect-but it proved something important. Beef jerky didn’t have to be boring. It could actually have a taste.
From kitchen experiment to UK beef jerky brand
Two weeks later, Punk Jerky did its first event.
It wasn’t glamorous but I made £91 in sales and that was enough. People got it.
From there:
- A first stockist at a local farm shop
- Selling out after one of the worst events (turns out, food festivals are where our people are)
- Growing to 12+ stockists and counting
This wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built batch by batch, event by event.
This was our first packaging. So much missing but it was a start !

Why “Punk”?
After six failed businesses, I stopped overthinking.
“Punk” wasn’t about strategy—it was about doing things differently on purpose.
Not following the category. Not copying what’s already on shelves. Just making good beef jerky, our way.
What makes Punk Jerky different
We’re not trying to make jerky like the rest.
We’re trying to make jerky you actually want to eat.
- Made with high-quality beef
- Wet marinated for real flavour (not just surface-level seasoning)
- No artificial ingredients
- Built for taste, not shelf life
Most jerky is made to sit on a shelf.
Ours is made for that moment between lunch and dinner when crisps won’t cut it, but you still want something unreal.

For people who actually care about food
Punk Jerky is for people who:
- Rate good food properly
- Want a high-quality beef snack in the cupboard
- Aren’t interested in bland, mass-produced snacks
If you’re just after protein, there are plenty of options.
If you want proper UK beef jerky with flavour, you’re in the right place.
